Arrival Paro

Our representative will receive you at the Paro International Airport, Paro (2280m) and escort you to the hotel.
If the flight arrives in the morning, you can visit the Paro town. Dinner will be served in the hotel.

Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit National Museum housed in Ta-Dzong which was built in 1656 and served as the watch tower of Paro Dzong in the past.
Visit Paro Dzong, also called the Rinchen Phug Dzong, which means fortress on a heap of Jewels. Paro Dzong is one of the most impressive and well-known Dzongs of Bhutan and was built in 1644. After lunch CONFERENCE, and evening leisure time with Tea/coffee, Dinner will be served in the hotel.

Paro To Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast drive to Thimphu which is 66 kms from Paro, after refreshment sightseeing in Thimphu (2320m) includes visits to : National Library which was established in 1967 and has many ancient Dzongkha and Tibetan texts); Painting School or the National Institute for Zorig Chusum (the 13 traditional arts and crafts like painting, woodcarving, embroidery and statue making; National Memorial Chorten which was built in 1974 in memory of the third King of Bhutan; visit Tashichhodzong the seat of the government of Bhutan. It houses the secretariat, the Throne Room, His Majesty secretariat, the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. If the sightseeing falls on the weekend you can visit Thimphu open vegetable market where farmers from the nearby regions gather to sell their produce. Evening Gala Dinner with drinks.

Dochula Sightseeing, Drive Thimphu To Paro

The first stop on this road journey is at Dochula pass at 3,140 meters.
Dochula is about 23 kilometers from Thimphu and during a clear day it offers a clear view of the Himalayas.
After refreshments in Dochula the journey continues to Thimphu for Lunch. In the afternoon, proceed to Paro. Visit Town. Return to hotel. Dinner is served in the Hotel.

Elephant Orphanage, Pinnawala :

The foster - home of elephants of different age and size feeding, bathing, playing together and even mating. These have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. There are even little baby calves born in captivity.

Spice Garden in Hingula (Kandyan Spice 99) :

Located on the main road between Colombo and the hill capital of Kandy.
Visit a spice garden Hingula in Mawanella to see many different types of spices Sri Lanka is famous for. Cinnamon, Cardamom, Pepper, Cloves and nutmeg have cultivated that place. In addition to individual spices, the estate sold its own version of Sri Lankan curry powder.

Turtle Hatchery, Kosgoda :

Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.
The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays her eggs and covers it with sand where it is supposed to, incubated by the heat of the sun. What often happens is, the eggs are dug out by fisherman and sold to people who consume them.
But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and are hatched in a natural way in enclosed areas where the birds do not have a chance of picking them up and the babies are let into the sea after two days at night time which offers them a better chance of survival.

Colombo City Tour :
